For as long as I can recall, I wanted to have my own business. I have a background in teaching and my young students were always an inspiration to me. When I became a parent, I had always dreamed of opening up my own baby/toddler boutique someday, but I never thought my dream would ever become a reality.

Then, when I became pregnant with my third child, I spent a considerable amount of time searching the internet for products specifically for babies from birth until approximately 24 months; ranging from pacifier clips to burp cloths, onesies and other accessories. It had been 6 years since I had my last child. It soon became apparent to me, that as a busy mom of a few kids, it became increasingly more difficult to physically shop in stores. In addition, I discovered that there was a real need for practical accessories and baby gifts that were unique as well as beautiful. There are tons of products on the market, but I was searching for the functional yet fancy, the practical yet precious and of course, some hard to find items as well.

My dear husband always encouraged me to start something and one day, he told me "just go for it". So, with his help and blessing, we registered the company when I came up with a domain name for my company "Starting Out Small". Voila! That is how StartingOutSmall LLC. evolved.  Additionally, we often donate a percentage of sales to worthy causes, charities such as The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, etc. Please consider shopping with us and you will also be helping out others in need.

We are "starting out small" with only a handful of products geared for ages birth-2 years old, but hopefully we will expand to other ages and stages of toddler hood..
